Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
I took my first steps toward professional hunting long before I could even legally register. At just 18 years old, I completed my Professional Hunter’s course, sponsored by two legendary conservationists — Linda Venter of SCI and David Sutherland — who saw something in me I hadn't yet proven.
I began my apprenticeship under the mentorship of Jannie Otto, one of South Africa’s most respected pioneers in the safari industry. Working under his team, I cut my teeth tracking kudu in the thornveld, and buffalo hunts, and learning the trade the hard way working my way up from being a skinner long before I was even allowed to hunt or guide to being a full blown — by doing it, day after day, in the bush.

Our Story
Sampie Potgieter grew up on a farm in the north west province of South Africa. His school holidays was spent with a fishing rod in one hand and his trusty .22 Win Mag in the other where he and the local folk spent their days hunting fishing from dusk to dawn. This is where his passion , love and goal to own and operate his own hunting company was born. After graduating from high school he started his apprenticeship as professional hunter under the watchful eye of one of the oldest hunting companies in SA a protégé from a magnificent company and individual he strived to become the new generation of of young professionals in the field to protect and conserve our wildlife. Sampie met his wife during his apprentice years in the Northern Cape region while hunting in the area. Now the proud owner of a hunting company hunting in Botswana, South Africa and Namibia his wife handles all admin, and bookings while Sampie hunts and manages all other related aspects.
